BECK the Garment Guy

August 24, 2019

When Mr. Beck returned from the park last night, he ran into Carmella, who is a female version of Divine. Beck had taken videos of her dancing at the Aug. 21st BBQ (don’t ask the occasion unless it was to celebrate the end of summer) but decided not to post the dance of the seniors because, well it was just embarrassing.

Carmella was wearing the full get-up. Some sort of pleated white dress with Lolita shaped sunglasses, and Beck didn’t really get close enough to do her justice.

The big song was Shake, Rattle and Roll, and the average age of the dancers was 85. (In Beck’s estimation).

So back to the return from the park and he’s waiting for the elevator with Carmella and she tells him: I thought you said you worked in film.

Beck: That’s right.

Carmella: The new newsletter just came out and it says you worked in the garment business.

Beck: No. Never did. Besides, they published a blurb about me three months ago.

Carmella: (Excited) Well that can’t be, it only comes out every three months. Oh here, hold on, I have an extra….

Welcome to our New Neighbors

A squeezed picture of Mr. Beck with beard taken when he first arrived. The newsletter crew have a way of distorting pictures to fit in the box size they use so he is stretched and pixilated.

Mr. Beck

Mr. Beck was born and raised in Brooklyn. (Not even close). He was a merchandise manager as well as a clothing buyer for many years. (Uhm, wrong again). He [E]njoys horserace, (nope) and world events (that’ s way off).
